thank you!
makes me wonder, how many have actually murdered their own meat?
bought mine this year and grandad would of called me a pussy. anyone else raise this way?. -
Not quite, we've always bought ours from the store same with the last 2 generations
-
Why spend money on it if you can get it free??
-
Because guns, ammo, and the skill required to hunt a live anaimal aren't free
-
Neither is a hunting license. Or getting the meat cut cleaned and cured. The only thing that's free about it is acquiring the meat after you've paid for all this other shit

My parents are country folk who regularly farmed, killed, and ate their livestock "back home". But they must have grown soft because when I was a kid, I was allowed to get a pet rabbit in January on the condition that come December, they're going to kill it and serve it....
Come December, they didn't have the heart to kill Liviana. I suppose letting me name her was their first mistake... -

The only thing free, is the food coma after.
And really, you have to pay for that too. -

You never learned to make your own hunting gear? I used to think it was the most difficult thing in the world.
Also cutting and curing meat is easy, make sure you don't cut the guts open, if you don't care about the hide don't take care when skinning.
Make sure your knife is always sharp.
Guns are for people who can't hunt traditionally. And before you say a bullet kills instantly. It only kills instantly if you don't miss, same with any hunting methods.
If you know what you're doing you won't need a cent to live ever.
The only thing I ever struggled with was being patient while making a bow (crude but a bear gotta eat Dave) -
FYI I'm not a yearly hunter, a moving target might get injured before I kill it if I tried here and now, hunting in Australia isn't a common experience.
