Complete Defense Fighter's Guide

    This guide should tell you everything you need to know about being a smart, aware, effective defense player in a war or any other situation.

    REMEMBER:

    When I refer to defense players, I am referring to people who when fighting each other go into the HP fight.

    WHAT IS THE HP FIGHT?

    The HP fight is the name for a battle that occurs when two players, who both have high defense than the other's strength, fight each other. The HP fight is the very essence of a defense player's struggles against another defense player.

    HOW DOES THE HP FIGHT WORK?

    When two defense players fight one another, they can only deal two degrees of damage on each other, 0 damage (referred to as a miss) or 1 damage. Since fights in Mafia Death cannot end in a tie, they will continue to fight each other, dealing 0's and 1's until one of them runs out of HP, and thus a winner is determined.

    LEVELS AND HP


    If you didn't already know, your level determines how much maximum HP you have. for every level, you have 50 HP (E.G. A player with a level of 310 will have 15,500 HP.) When defense fights occur, the more health you have, the more health you typically take on your opponent.

    HOW DO I KNOW IF I CAN WIN A DEFENSE FIGHT?


    HP is key! Look at your HP as well as your opponents. If your current HP is 400 higher than your opponents, you are pretty well guaranteed to beat them in a defense fight. If you are 400 lower, you will almost never win. If the numbers are anywhere in between those, luck will determine your winner.

    WHAT IS A TAG TEAM?


    Tag teams (AKA Defense teams, team killing, tap outs, and others) is a process when two defense players combine to take out another. It begins with one player on the offensive side getting there HP to a low level (while still being above 50%) and then attacking and therefore suiciding on the target. The goal is lower the target's HP in such a way that a second player has higher HP than the target, and as such proceeds to finishing them off. This is a way for lower level defense players to kill higher level defense players.

    HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO NON-DEFENSE FIGHTS?


    They don't! An HP fight is a battle exclusively between players without the strength to take anything higher than 1's on each other. If you think being cautious of tag teams (along with anything included in the notes below) is too much for you to remember, you may consider another stat build.

    MISC/NOTES


    -Drugs: Play no factor into pure defense fights. However, If one has necessary strength, drugs can help to 1-hit-kill a defense player. (This won't be discussed here, as that is not classified as an HP fight.)

    -Kits: Kits are the soul of defense players. After winning an HP fight, it is important to kit, so that a lower level defense player can't kill you in your weakened state. They are also useful for adjusting your HP to perform tag team fights, and other such tasks.

    -Unattackable: A common strategy among defense players is to lower their HP below 50% by attacking a lower level defense player, while not killing them self. Due to the rule that you cannot attack a player with under 50% HP, no player can attack them in this state. This can be useful in wars so that you can time attacks on enemy players.

    -lowering HP: To lower your HP, just attack a player who is 10 levels lower than you, or more, depending on your purpose (this is assuming your have 100%) this can be useful for either reaching unattackable or setting your HP to perform a tag-team.

    -The 'Random/Luck' Factor: In defense fights, there is no pattern between the damage differences of 0/1. This means one player could hit several 1's in a row while the other hits 0's. Because of this, when players are close in level, (within 10 normally) a player can get lucky, and kill the other player. At lower levels, it's not advised to defense fight anyone within 200 HP of you. As levels increase (E.G. Around level 500) You are not guaranteed to beat anyone within 400 HP of you. (This increases to around 600 in the 700's of level) This applies to you having both higher or lower HP)

    -Five Minute Heal: A good defense player always watches the MD clock, located in your top left corner under the logo. Every time this hits a 5 minute period (E.G. 2:10, 2:15, 2:20, 2:25) Any player with under 100% HP replenishes 25% of their maximum HP (If they are above 75%, they will max at 100%) This 5 minute clock can make or break you, and is a tool of the best defensive players. Several ways to use this:

    -A lower level defense player would use this to time a forgetful higher level defense player who has not kitted as they climb above 50% to kill the player.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    -An attentive player will use this to instantly kill a forgetful defense player as soon as they are attackable after climbing above 50%.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    -An attentive defense player in unattackable state will watch the clock and usually kit a minute before the HP replenish, so that they catch enemies offguard and are able to relapse into unattackable without getting killed.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    -A good tag-teamer will make sure the HP replenish doesn't mess up a tag-team by doing it at a time reasonably before or after the 5 minute marks.

    Yes, speed is now a factor. It can cause a little swing in HP and which can be used as an advantage.
