New players are an essential part of MD society, culture and stability.
New players bring entertainment, opportunity, entertainment and more entertainment, but they are more important than that. New players are a major source of new sales and business to the game and also bring opportunity for current players to spend their MD cash on points when noobs need to sell their points for housing. This housing is an important outlet for cash to get out of MD as more comes in through dailies.
In short - Noobs are great and we need more.
Gang life is a critical part of what makes MD fun but currently there's a drastically low number of noobs being recruited by gangs. More needs to be done.
Answer: Give gangs more incentives to take on noobs so gangs can make MD more fun for noobs.
Suggestions I have to do this are as follows.. please feel free to add further suggestions.
1. Increase EXP given from "bunnies" - Reducing the EXP by half would be enough to keep bunnies out of business but would bring back some a large chunk of opportunities for noobs. This would make the game more fun for them and would allow for gangs to move up the gang list.
2. Allow gang EXP to be gained from gangless mobsters - Players you kill need to be in gangs for the EXP gained to be contributed to the gang's experience tally. Allowing EXP from gangless mobsters to count towards gang EXP will further the opportunities for gangs to benefit from aspiring new players.
Noobs love that satisfaction knowing that are helping a gang, and also new gangs can benefit. As for how gang levels and position is viewed by gang leaders, we don't need to look further back to when Toolhead made a gang and the fun he was having when his gang gaining levels with the help of some noobs.
This aspect of the game has been lost and I think it would be great to being it back.
3. Gang prestige - Introduce some reward system to recognise when a gang helps a noob buy a new house. This could be a simple rank that increases by 1 each time an LPI is bought or by giving different amounts of points depending on the house bought, then prestige rankings can go up after a certain amount of points have been gained. -

Make 20 mugs for 100 points
Make 20 kills for 100 points
Do 20 suicides for 100 points
Make 20 forum posts for 100 points
Do 20 crimes for 100 points
easy tasks for noobs and or established players to do to earn easy points and continue playing the game. More activity = more players playing = some of these players spending cash -

Having more exp gained, and/or 1-2 points or some money per bust, might motivate people busting other players out. -
